Brownbanded Cockroach

DESCRIPTION:

The adults are about 1/2 inch long and brown with distinct transverse bands on the abdomen. The dark brown wings are short in the female and cover the abdomen in the male. The immatures are yellowish-brown and lack wings. The egg case is about 1/4 inch long and light brown.

BIOLOGY:

(Supella longipalpa) This cockroach occurs indoors in habitats similar to the German cockroach, but will also infest other rooms of the house besides the kitchen and bathroom. The female produces about 14 egg cases during her life and each contains about 18 eggs.
